THIS IS HOW WE HELPED

Reviving a Dead Video

We helped DUCK turn a dead documentary with just 32 views into a 11K-view success in two weeks - using one free thumbnail that visually captured the band’s transformation story.

The Problem

DUCK uploaded a powerful, emotional documentary exploring the rise, fall, and comeback of Three Days Grace. But after 2 days, the video sat at just 32 views. The original thumbnail was plain, low-quality, and outdated, it didn’t match the intensity or storytelling quality of the video itself.

The Solution

We stepped in with a free thumbnail redesign, aimed at reflecting the emotional transformation in the video. Our approach included:

  • A split-scene layout showing the band’s contrast between past and present

  • Dates (2013 vs. 2025) in opposite corners to hint at a transformation arc

  • A cinematic, high-quality aesthetic that instantly stood out in the feed

The Result

In just two weeks, the video jumped from 32 views to over 11,000, purely from the new thumbnail, no title change, no re-upload.

This project proved that with the right visual, even a “dead” video can trigger the algorithm and reach its audience.
